Foreign travel

You’re going on holiday, what do you need to do…

  1. Book an appointment with one of the private clinics for your assessment and paid for vaccinations. (please look online for private travel clinics). If you are directed back to the surgery by the private clinic for free NHS vaccinations as part of your travel advice, please provide us with your paperwork detailing what’s needed. Please fill out a request on our online admin button to request and appointment for travel with our practice nurses, for each traveller. Please tell reception where you are traveling – this information is needed in advance and confirm you have seen a private clinic and have the correct information.
  2. The nurse will confirm the correct NHS vaccinations that you will need for your travel and administer them at your appointment (subject to availability).
  3. Please allow at least 7 weeks prior to travel for your vaccinations, anything less and the vaccines will not be working prior to travel.
