Pharmacy Mail Shots
We have been contacted by patients who have received unsolicited mail shots from Pharmacy companies offering services to patients for repeat prescriptions by post.
We are unsure where the company gets its mail shot names and addresses from but is also using our name on the letter. However if you look carefully it states underneath our practice name that
‘‘your own doctor has not given us your name and address for this letter and has not approved this communication.”
I can further assure you the practice has absolutely nothing to do with any of these commercial companies. The data we hold, is protected by the NHS and as an organisation we are checked and monitored on our data compliance. It is protected behind IT firewalls and access strictly monitored and protected. We do not share this data with any of these pharmacy companies .
